Do you know what I got for always being the good girl? A cheating ex, fake friends, and now a scandal that has even my own father ashamed of me.
No one believes it isn’t me on the video. My new bodyguard is no exception. Mason is not only my brother’s best friend, but my newly assigned babysitter who wishes he was anywhere but here.
He’s both hot and judgmental. It’s a maddening combination that has me wanting to push all his buttons.
With his bad boy vibe, alpha demeanor and the way he calls me princess, I'm convinced my draw to him is crazy. Until I learnunder the tattoos and piercings there may be more than meets the eye. Turns out I may not be the only one fighting the attraction.
I’m determined not to be the helpless girl everyone thinks I am, even if it means taking drastic measures.
The question is whose side will Mason be on in the end?
*** Without Judgment is a standalone romance for mature audiences due to steamy bedroom scenes that are in no way contained to just the bedroom.***
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
If all bodyguards are hot like this… well, I think my life is in danger! Without Judgment is the story of Avery and Mason, Trevor’s sister and best friend respectively. While all the stories in this series are standalone and can totally be read separately, I believe reading them in order will greatly enhance the experience.
Avery has had some bad luck lately. Not only did she find her fiancé and her best friend having sex only months before the wedding, when said scumbag-ex releases a sex-tape claiming she’s the one with him in the video none of her so-called friends believe she’s not that girl and tell her to enjoy the notoriety. Not even her father, who’s in the middle of a political campaign, really believes it’s not her and is only concerned by the repercussions of the scandal.
Now stuck with her brother’s best friend as her personal babysitter and her every action being monitored becomes the straw that breaks the camel’s back. The whole debacle makes Avery realize that she may have not been making the right decision for her life, nor surrounding herself with the best kind of people.
I was really impressed with Avery and the way she took charge of her life. She was sweet, genuine and all around a nice young woman. I loved how she blossomed into her true self, if with a little help from Mason.
Mason was perfection. Although he starts off as a bit of a prejudiced ass, he soon realizes his assumptions about Avery were totally off. He was sexy, broody and the epitome of alpha ex-military-turned-security-guy, and when he’d relax he could be funny and playful and absolutely charming.
Avery and Mason’s chemistry and attraction was fabulous and watching them trying to fight it gave me a good laugh. As in the previous books in this series, their times together and sextivities were scorching hot and their banter hilarious. Mason stuffs-up on more than one occasion making me want to slap him upside the head, but eventually pulled it all together.
I am absolutely loving this series and all the giant puppies in each book. With fantastic characters, scorching chemistry, some mystery and a great pace, Without Judgment has made an amazing addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
