And they all lived happily ever after... maybe.
Find out what happens in the final book in the Morelli family series!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a comprehensive series, not a set of standalones. The story starts in book one, Accidental Witness, and is unlikely to be enjoyed if you have not read the whole series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Last Words provided a much needed respite from a harrowing life experience. Being the seventh book in the Morelli family series, I am grateful that the characters are vividly dynamic and it is always easy to slip back into the storyline each time a new book comes out.
Don’t read on if you haven’t read the previous books in this story, the mere mention of a character’s name will spoil your reading experience. The first book to start with is Accidental Witness. This is a dark series, with references to situations that might not be for all. That said, it has kept me captivated and keenly awaiting each new installment.
Now if you’re still with me, I take it you have read all the other books in the Morelli Family series and are ready to hear what I thought of Last Words. As soon as I knew the title, my mind was swirling with thoughts of who it was referring to and what would be said. Then I wondered if it would be more than one person who would have the last say or was it a case of many words or actions being offered by one person in particular.
At the end of the day, I believe having the ability to have the final say, doesn’t necessary reflect having control of the final outcome. The story in my view hasn’t ended, rather reached a moment in time where lives can move on. Mia continues to work her magic with all she comes into contact with and provides the light to the dark life the family leads.
Carly comes into their lives and brings another level of goodness. She’s a level headed woman who is just what Vince needs to move on. He still needs all the support he can muster. I loved spending more time with him in this book and I hope we are able to visit him again in the future.
Rafe is the dark horse I am busting to get to know better. He will be the tie that links both Vegas and Chicago families together. He is another version of Mateo, not better or worse, just different. I have a feeling he is just as dangerous and shouldn’t be underestimated. His latest fixation has me intrigued. She’s a character who I feel we have a lot more to learn about and her story again will provide a good conduit between the different men connected to the Morelli mob.
While this story was not as heavy to read as previous books featuring Mateo, it was still jammed packed with suspense which kept me turning pages. I have Sam Mariano’s collection of deleted scenes purchased and ready to devour as soon as I get a free moment to sneak in some more Morelli time. There’s so much more I could share, but this is a series where you need to go into each book free as possible from the knowledge of plot twists as you can. My last words are simply that I loved every minute of reading this book and it’s a series I highly recommend for lovers of dark reads.
