When mystery shopper Shannon Jacoby meets billionaire Declan McCormick with her hand down a toilet in the men's room of one of his stores, it's love at first flush in this hilarious new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Why, oh why did I take so long to start this story? I think my family started thinking I was auditioning to do some pig movie dubbing with all the snorting happening.
The first book in the Shopping for a Billionaire series starts the story of Shannon, a quirky and funny mystery shopper who catches the interest of super-hot and almost billionaire Declan.
From their very beginning, things start off in the most unlikely of ways. And although nothing seems to go right for either of them with one hilarious mishap and absurd situation after another, their attraction and chemistry prevail.
With a loving but totally OTT mother, a crazy best friend, a snarky sister/roommate and the cat version of the antichrist, Shannon leads a somewhat quiet life. After a relationship that left her filled with insecurities, she’s not in the market for a man. Any man. Even the hot suit guy she sees coming into the coffee shop she’s evaluating. And considering he ends up saving her from flushing her arm down a men’s bathroom toilet, he would be the last man in her mind… even if he is the hottest and sexiest guy she’s ever seen.
So when Declan not only ends up being a new client for the company she works at but also asks her out on a date, to say she is flabbergasted is putting it mildly.
I loved Shannon, she had me laughing my butt off with her inner monologue and her life in general. Her family, friends and co-workers layered the story with numerous levels of hilariousness and absurdity. I must admit that I’m not fond of an insecure heroine for my stories, but she won me over with her personality. Also, where she is coming from is understandable as we learn a bit more about her ex.
I wish we’ve had a little of Declan’s PoV. He is charming and smart, quite bossy and utterly hot. He seems delighted with Shannon’s artless ways but I’m hoping we’ll get some peek into his mind sometime in the future.
Shannon and Declan’s chemistry is off the charts hot, magnetic and ensnaring. The story caught me from the very first page to the last and I’m jumping right into the next installment.
Shopping for a Billionaire is a funny, sexy and sweet romance that will have you either laughing, snorting or smiling. With hot kisses, obnoxious exes, crazy shenanigans galore, I see good things in my reading future.
