Guy Rule: Don’t knock a girl up and disappear for a year.
Weston Davis was a jaded CIA operative who didn’t believe in love at first sight—until the moment he laid eyes on Aspen Kennedy and knew she was meant to be his. With an undercover operation only days away, the timing was horrible. But he didn’t let it get in the way of spending an explosive weekend with her before he has to leave.
Aspen believed Weston when he told her he’d be back. Twelve months, a positive pregnancy test, and countless emails later, she’s given up hope on ever hearing from him again. She’s left alone to raise their baby, a treasured gift from the man who’d stolen her heart and smashed it to pieces.
When Weston comes storming back into her life, he has a new mission: claim his family, find the person who’d almost caused him to lose them, and make them pay.
Warning: If you’re in the mood for a quick & dirty read with an alpha male who’s determined to make up for lost time, this novella is for you!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
First of all, let’s start with that cover… Add to it a CIA agent who never knew he had a baby on the way and this screamed: “Sparkles needs to read that”. And so I did. And thus I had a fantastic night’s read.
I’m Yours, Baby had everything I wish for in an OTT romance: an alpha, possessive hot guy, a sweet, loving and completely smitten girl (and in this case a super cute baby boy), one look to know that’s it and lots of hot sextivities.
After a year of heavy undercover work Wes is back to claim his woman. It doesn’t matter if they only knew each other for a weekend and that she hadn’t contacted him in all this time. He was the kind of guy to go after what he wanted.
What he finds knocks him on his butt as not only did Aspen tried to reach him (repeatedly), she had very important information to share with him aka three-month-old baby Carter. Now Wes is determined to win her heart back, make up for the lost time with his family and find the person responsible for this clusterfuck.
Aspen needs to think of Carter’s welfare first and foremost, so she can’t just let Weston walk into their lives all willy nilly without some kind of assurance. She was sweet and caring, and a really good mom.
I’m Yours, Baby was a fantastic little story that kept me smiling all the way through. It was sweet, sexy and it had a splash of suspense, making it a really enjoyable read. Definitely one of my favorites OTT romances of late.
