Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn't want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't). That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'. They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys. Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head. Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she's willing to give, she falters. What do you do when something that you've known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right? If you're Mac, you run and hide. But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

She had 3 in the hand…but the 4th is the charm.

Temporary Bliss was a pleasant surprise to me. Mac had been previously hurt by a boyfriend who claimed to love her. She put barriers around her heart to protect her from ever being hurt again. She manages to move on by organising three men to become her friends with benefits. The conditions are that only friendship is on offer and each man has a special “talent” in the bedroom…lucky Mac!

Daniel meets Mac and there is an instant attraction. This couple is sweet, funny and super-HOT together. I loved that Daniel knew Mac was scared of relationships, but this did not stop him. He was determined to break down her barriers.

At first I found it a little hard to connect with Mac and felt that Kate, her best friend, enabled her. I felt this prolonged Mac’s pain and didn’t allow her to grow up and move on from her hurt. Mac grew on me and I realised Kate was always going to have her back, even when they didn’t agree with each other.

A great story with some smoking hot smexy scenes, some funny moments and some sweet scenes that made me sigh. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Temporary Bliss was free on Amazon.
