His marriage of inconvenience...
Camilla Winthrop is about to do something she's never done in her life-she's about to ask a man to marry her. Not just any man. She hasn't seen Sam Flanagan in almost five years, after he coldly walked away from a passionate and intense two-week affair. Now Camilla is widowed and desperate...and marrying Sam is the only way she can protect their son.
The son he never knew about.
A hugely successful attorney in Miami, Sam certainly never expected to see the stunning Camilla come through his door again. Nor can he ignore the desire heating his blood. But after she tells him her situation, Sam is furious. He'll marry her, but under his terms. And he'll take everything, including Camilla in his bed...unless she can find a way to thaw the millionaire's icy heart once more.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
For all us lovers of a secret baby plot, this one was a pretty good one.
Sam and Camilla had a very hot, very short, 2-week fling when they met by chance in Las Vegas. Both at very crucial points in their lives, they leave with no prospect of ever crossing paths again (aka Sam was an asshole).
Five years later Sam gets an unexpected visit to his office by his former but not quite forgotten fling, who is in desperate need of his help. But what Camilla needs is for him to marry her.
Let’s just say Sam doesn’t react well to Camilla’s plan and when he finds out that their “love” bore a very real and very resembling-him-at-that-age fruit, he loses his ever-loving mind.
So the story goes on with Sam making an ass out of himself by making assumptions about Camilla’s life left, right and center. Sam not having a shred of evidence to back this up keeps basically putting his foot (or make that his whole leg) in his mouth again and again. And again.
I really enjoyed reading The Millionaire’s Unexpected Proposal. I found it well-paced, engaging and with everything I ask for in the whole secret-baby-asshole-H-father-who-then-has-to-grovel-a-lot plot theme. Totally recommended for any day of the week, anytime and anyplace.
