Phoenix 'Nix' Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his Pops got them into was difficult. Until he meets Kadence. Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student's father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy and for some reason, Kadence can't seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won't give in without a fight. The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

I’ve never pushed a woman this far before; chasing her and teasing her feels so damn good. Something about her pushes my buttons and leaves me wanting more. Most women fall at my feet begging to get in, but Kadence? No, this woman makes me want to do the begging.

There was a whole lot to like about this book. It’s not a Holy Grail book, but it’s dang close.

I loved the alpha-maleness of Nix. He was a little too OTT and got dangerously close to crossing a line with his forcefulness, but he didn’t and it all worked out. I also loved the care he took with Z. Nothing sexier than a man who loves kids.

Kadence was a strong h who wasn’t TSTL except for one instance that had me rolling my eyes. Another thing I loved about her was she had the school teacher thing going, but she could get as down and dirty as he could. I usually like the dirty talk the guys do and could care less about what the h’s say, but I laughed out loud when I read this:

“Goddamn it, Nix. Just spank me, fuck me, or lick me out. I don’t care. Just do something,” I snap, my patience wearing thin.

Did I mention this book was HOT!

I also liked that there wasn’t insta-love although there was insta-lust, the whole love thing was well thought out and discussed, especially with a child involved.

One thing I didn’t like so much was that Kadence’s ex was a little too OTT. Also, how did he get from her architect fiancee to what he became? It kind of glossed over that part with a sort of but not really explanation which made it hard to swallow.

Almost a 5 star, and I can’t wait to read Sy’s story next.
