The princess and a dead man.
They say money makes the world go round.
They’d be wrong.
Sure, power can be bought, but you can gain a hell of a lot more with knowledge. With knowledge comes fear.
I’ve seen it.
I’ve caused it.
I’ve even been the brunt of it.
But when a stowaway princess barrels into my life like a runaway train, I throw patience out the window—the same one I jump out of, taking her with me.
Now I’ve got more problems than any contract killer deserves.
That includes Aliyah Zahir—an internationally coveted socialite, a true royal, and a social media sensation. Returning to the lion’s den, she ends up in harm’s way—all for a mirage.
She’s chasing a ghost.
But instead, she finds a dead man.
I’m done being patient. It’s my turn to administer fear for a change, and no one is better equipped to fix Liyah’s problems than me.
And I’m never giving her back.
Ms. Asher charmed the socks off me again with this action-packed, scorching hot fairytale 2.0. She’s the only one who could make me fall in love with an influencer and make her worthy of Ozzy’s love by the end of it.
Ozzy was definitely the protective knight in shiny armor, and though Liyah was a damsel in distress, she totally rocked it with her determination.
Ozzy had a really crappy hand dealt to him, and as we learned more and more of his history, my heart kept breaking for him and what he was put through. I absolutely adored seeing him coming out of the darkness lured by Liyah’s light. He was the epitome of alpha, bossy and protective… aka a totally dreamy book boyfriend.
I can’t lie, though, it did take me a little while to warm up to Liyah. But what I will say is she has one hell of a growth arc in the story, and by the end of it all I could see what Ozzy saw in her from the beginning.
Get ready to swoon and have some fanning material at hand because this is one H. O. T. romance. There’s no lack of action and suspense, either, so don’t pick this up unless you have some serious uninterrupted reading time… or risk your cohabitants’ welfare should they dare interrupt you. Trust me, you won’t want to put Souls down.
In fewer words, read this asap and trust Ms. Asher will take you on an emotional ride you won’t want to stop.
