Cinderella is about to get wicked…

But can a naughty fantasy have a happily-ever-after?

Lainey Kline has one goal before she leaves Melbourne forever: transform herself into a sexy siren, sneak into the season’s most glamorous masquerade ball and seduce Damian McKnight. Only there’s a teeny little problem—one deliciously hot night isn’t nearly enough. Now Lainey wants more. But while getting naked is one thing, taking off their masks is quite another…

Sexy. Passionate. Bold. Discover Harlequin DARE, a new line of fun, edgy and sexually explicit romances for the fearless female.

By SparklesHoly sexy shenanigans, Batman! They say this new Harlequin line is hot, and they sure weren’t lying! Unmasked was a sexy, hot and fun read.

Lainey has been mooning after one of her best friend’s older brother since she realized boys were not so gross. Unfortunately, Damian has never treated her as other than his little sister’s friend, and now that she is leaving to go work in London she is set on not living the rest of her life with what if’s. So along with one of her friends, she party-crashes a masquerade ball where she plans to seduce Damian and have her wicked way with him and get it out of her system.

As luck would have it her plan goes perfectly without hiccups until… well, there are a lot of hiccups. Not the least being Damian introducing her as his fianceé to a prospective client.

When her certainty of anonymity gets nipped in the butt by Damian turning up at her door, they agree on spending some time together in order to help Damian land the client he’s been pursuing.

Their connection and chemistry are insanely good and soon they develop feelings beyond their expectations, but they both have issues they need to work through if they want it to work.

Lanie was fun, a free spirit and spontaneous. Damian, after a bad ending to a not so good relationship was off feelings, dedicated completely to work, uncomplicated fun and getting revenge for what was done to him. This did not detract from his overall sexiness, alpha vibe and humor. Even when they seemed complete opposites, Damian and Lanie worked great together and I loved witnessing the development of their entanglement.

I loved how Unmasked was light and fun, filled with banter and silliness and some serious hotness, but still managed to give depth to the feelings and growth of both main characters.  I can’t wait to see what comes next with Lanie’s friend Imogen!
