Ember Wells knows the meaning of terror. A reporter by day, her nights are spent hiding from a serial killer known as The Seeker. He's stalked her for a year, terrorizing her through the lens of a camera.

Held prisoner by paranoia, fear becomes a lonely companion...until she meets Angelo Dimitrov, a dark, mysterious stranger who sets her world on fire.

Angelo Dimitrov is not what he seems. Sexy as sin and shrouded in secrets, he appears out of nowhere and moves in next door. Should Ember run from this stranger with the moss green eyes or give in to her heart and be burned alive?

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

By LilyWhat a great vampire read!

I am so pleased to have been able to read all the books in one sitting otherwise I imagine I would have gone stir crazy waiting between books. While each book in the Ember collection was not as dark as I expected, I devoured each and every one of them and want my own Angel!

Ember Wells is a photographer who has just been promoted to lead photojournalist at the Lakeland Hedger, the newspaper she works for. Her good fortune is marred by bitterness from an unknown colleague regarding her promotion and several uncomfortable encounters at work involving other workers at the paper who give her the creeps. In addition to the annoyances at work, Ember has her own mystery haunting her, causing her to question her sanity.

Her troubles are lightened when she meets her new neighbour who goes by the name Angel. His mannerisms are far from angelic and yet at the same time, he swept her off her feet. There were no bad vibes omitting from her newfound friend apart from him appearing too good to be true! Any moment now, Ember was waiting to wake up to discover Angel was just part of an awesome dream.

The chemistry between Angel and Ember is off the charts steamy and combined with the mystery surrounding her made the story one I found difficult to turn away from. This was an awesome read that came close to melting my iPad with the smoking hot scenes between them. Their increasing need for each other was captivating and I am eager to read on in the series. This collection brought together the books associated with Ember ending with a happy for now moment.
