A Legacy Novel
She was once his liar.He was once her savior.
Cross Donati fills his days with the mafia, family, and responsibility. The wild boy is a distant memory. A waiting prince now sits in his place. An old debt puts the gunrunner right back into the path of his past, but he only sees his future.
Every king needs a queen.
Catherine Marcello learned how to stand on her own, and she no longer needs saving. The sly girl is far more dangerous now. A broken promise taught her how to live again. One conversation puts the hustler face to face with her first love, but she only sees heartache.
Every God needs a prayer.
The scars of their history runs deep. Every lie told, and each secret spilled hurts a little bit more.
Love does not care. Love will not wait.
So, why does life keep standing in the way?
Revere is A Legacy Novel. While it can be read as a follow up to Always, it can also be read as a standalone novel.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I loved being swept up in the forbidden romance between Catherine Marcello and Cross Donati.
A lot of years have gone by since the young lovers had been in the same room together. Eight years to be exact. When Cross is summoned to pay up on a debt he owes to Catherine’s cousin Andino, fate plays a card bringing the destined lovers back together. So much has transpired in Catherine’s life since she last saw Cross and she still harbours bitterness at the way he disappeared all those years ago.
Through sheer desperation, Catherine’s family enlists the help of Cara Guzzi. A therapist and one from a similar family background to Catherine. Cara quickly shows why wealthy people flock to her as a therapist. When all else failed to raise Catherine from her dangerous spiral of despair, Cara is the one who unlocks the key to the vault of secrets Catherine has been hiding for so long. Catherine’s strategies for keeping sane became as much of an issue as the reasons that caused her to act out in the first place.
As adults, Catherine and Cross still face the wrath of Dante and the Marcello family. It’s not until all the facts are laid out that Cross can begin to relax a little. Not that either of them gave a damn about what anyone thought about them, but they were not foolish. Dante at any moment could enforce his wishes with a few words and no one would question his decision.
While they were now older they are still chasing moments of freedom away from the prying eyes of family. Work for them both constantly plays havoc with their plans. Cross, like so many others, finds it difficult to say no to Catherine. This, along with her deceptive ways, places them both in precarious situations which require the skills of a well-honed negotiator to ensure any damage to their families is kept at a minimum. Considering the rigid rules they are negotiating, Cross proves himself worthy of his future role and the preparation he has received. While it appeared he was reckless, it is apparent he has been observant and acts like a boss when required.
Cross and Catherine revered each other with a love that provided a much welcome sanctuary they both thrived within. It was so good to be back in their world again and I am keen to see what life has in store for them next!

A Legacy Novel
A wild boy.
A sly girl.
Cross Donati defines trouble. He does what he wants because he’s never known anything different. He’s unapologetic, and he owns it.
Catherine Marcello is every bit a good girl … on the outside. Her entire world is a legacy, and she lives it. She’s curious, and she’s exploring it.
She chases bad things.
He never learned to be good.
They’re late nights, stolen cars, first times, fist fights, leather jackets, beaches, bloody smiles, and life.
They’re vicious and precious, dangerous and harmless, innocence and sin. They are love.
Love is killing for someone.
Love is living for someone.
Sometimes, you can’t keep saving your heart when it means sacrificing it, too.
Sometimes, you have to learn to save yourself.
Sometimes, love has to fall, crash, and burn.
This is what love is like when you’re a principe and principessa della mafia.
This is what love is like when you’re Cross Donati and Catherine Marcello.
Always is a Legacy Novel, and while it is standalone, it can also act as a prequel for Revere. Each Legacy Novel stands alone from any other book, series, or collection.
