Life hands out challenges that we all unwillingly accept. We have no choice in the acceptance really because that is essentially what life is; a series of unavoidable challenges thrown our way for us to overcome.

Alexis Summers is no stranger to facing challenges, as she has had her fair share of them since meeting and subsequently falling in love with Bryce. He was her new employer who had dominantly pursued her while she was happily married. But, it wasn't until her husband Rick, had confessed to previously having an affair, that Alexis finally allowed herself to give in to the temptation, that was Bryce Edward Clark.

In Satisfaction—Alexis and Bryce spend the most amazing week together, and discover the connection and love they share with one another, goes far deeper than anything they have ever experienced. What Alexis doesn't know, is the truth behind her husband’s confession, and the underhanded deal Bryce made with him behind her back. Alexis’ world will come crashing down around her when she discovers their secret, and she will once again find herself faced with having to overcome more of life’s challenges.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

By LilyWow, how does a woman divide her heart? Or does the heart not segregate, merely expanding to make room for more love?

Alexis is confronted with a gamut of emotions all tugging at her heartstrings. In Temptation, she finds herself torn between a new man and her husband. The new was tempting or more pointedly irresistible but turning her back on years of contentment from her happy marriage kept her from acting on her thoughts.

When a guilt-free opportunity presents itself, Alexis throws caution to the wind and as the saying goes, in for a penny, in for a pound, making her choice. It’s at this point I became easily distracted and questioning my reasons for continuing. In what I considered a scant amount of time Alexis flipped without much regret.

The two men in her life are fully aware that at any moment either of them could lose her. They fight with all the resources they can muster. Then the plot twists unleashed revelations I hadn’t anticipated. Some I was waiting to surface but the majority caught me off-guard. I was grateful for the additional drama that quickly sparked my interest again!

While I struggled with the first third of the story I had no problems beyond that point. Satisfaction raises a lot of interesting scenarios that are bound to fuel some heated conversations. Some of the scenarios again were far-fetched, but I am reading this series as a fanciful guilty pleasure! After two books in a row though, I think I’ll take a breather before I tackle the next book!
