As the last Pack member without a mate, Luke Reynolds has become an outsider. When he takes a job as the head horse trainer Sedona, Arizona, he’s looking forward to starting a new life. But everything changes the night he finds beautiful woman stranded on the side of the highway.
Raven Wood has been bitten and turned against her will. Luckily, her spirit is stronger than most, and she has every intention of escaping the Sedona Pack. Somehow. The sexy lone wolf who rescues her might be just the answer she’s looking for.
But the Sedona Pack Alpha has a mission, and unless Luke and Raven can stop him, they’ll lose everything.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Wow! Talk about crazy alpha in a bad way…
Raven has been turned into a werewolf without her consent and is now “part” of the Sedona Pack. In this case being “a part of” means you’re either an outright prisoner or they are using extortion to make you stay. Desperate to escape from the crazies, Raven decides to make a run for it and go to the Reno Pack and ask for their assistance. Only she runs out of gas on the highway not so far from the city. When a lone car stops to check on her, and the driver turns out to be a wolf from the very pack she was going to, it seems the Gods are finally on her side.
Luke needed some space from his pack. Being the only one still without a mate was far from fun, so when the opportunity to be a head trainer in a ranch in Sedona came up, he didn’t hesitate to take it. As luck would have it that the hot chick stranded on the highway with tales of a crazy pack and a warning for his family, just turned out to be his true mate. With his protective instincts at full force, he can’t let Raven go back to the pack, so they’ll have to come up with a plan to take care of it. The more he learns, though, the more twisted he finds the Sedona Pack who are led by an old enemy of his family. Now they either fix the problem or lose any possibility of a future together.
Raven was a really tough chick. She was in a less than ideal situation, but still tried to change it against every odd. She was caring, loyal, had a playful side and was quite snarky.
Luke was a sexy alpha wolf, while at his old pack he was under the shadow of his twin, here he grew into himself. Once he touched Raven he was 1000% committed to taking her out of that place and he would stop at nothing to make her happy. I really liked how determined he was to help the innocents of the Sedona Pack, making him an honorable and compassionate man. In other words, Luke is the shit.
Wolf Moon is action packed to the point where you want it to stop every once in a while. I felt I couldn’t relax once since it started, as the constant threat of discovery and failure relentlessly harassed them. I enjoyed how Luke and Raven’s relationship progressed. While it was still an “I-touched-you-and-now-I-know-you’re-my-mate” insta-love, Raven introduction to werewolfery made it hard for them to just jump into it.
Now that all the wolves at the Reno Pack are mated but the menace of Nero is still out there, I wonder if the author will give mates to all the new sexy wolves in the Sedona Pack… And if so, I can’t wait to get my hands on their stories!
