Guy Rule: It's only stalking if you get caught.
Rhys Campbell doesn’t believe in love at first sight, until he sees Macy Holland in a coffee shop and finds himself stalking her across town… to a sex toy shop.
Macy isn’t sure what to think about Rhys, except that he’s sexy as sin in his custom suits and even hotter out of them with all his tatted up muscles. The sassy virgin finds herself quickly falling into his bed, but little does she know he’s playing for keeps.
Warning: If sexy heroes with tattoos and piercings make you want to bite your lip and do dirty things...read on.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
The most important thing when choosing an OTT romance like Play With Me, Baby is to: a) be in the right mood for it, and b) be able to suspend reality and enjoy the absurdity of it all.
Rhys sees the love of his life walk into a coffee shop and doesn’t react in time to meet her. So he follows her to a sex shop, where it turns out she works. From that moment on, Rhys will do everything in his power to steal Macy’s heart as she stole his.
Macy finds the hot guy waiting in the cashier line more than attractive, but she won’t just go with some random dude anywhere. Then her best friend and her husband walk in and greet them and proceed to make Rhys not a random dude at all (they know him).
Rhys was the perfect example of every OTT hot guy I love. One look alone is all it takes for him to fall head over heels for Macy, turning him into an obsessive, possessive alpha with only breeding and forever in his mind. The bad boy tatted and pierced under the sexy suit? Totally unnecessary, but greatly appreciated.
“You’re not on your own. I’m right here with you. There is no I anymore. We’re an us now, and you better get used to it because that’s never going to change”.
Macy was a sweet and sassy aspiring writer, working wherever to support herself until getting published. Being innocent and inexperienced, she wasn’t prepared to withstand Rhys’ wooing. Not that she put that much of a fight.
With hot sextivities and sweet forevers Play With Me, Baby was a great OTT read with a fantastic epilogue I very much enjoyed.
Rating: 3.5 “Still drooling at that cover” Stars
Quietly, I turned the knob on the door and pushed it open. Her light was still on and a hasty glance at her bed showed it was empty.
