Matt’s pack is getting antsy. They want him to pick a mate and soon. The trouble is, the Werewolf Alpha just hasn’t found the right one. He wants a mate who will challenge him at every step, a female strong of will and body. The fact that such a woman hasn’t conveniently laid herself at his doorstep along with all of the other she-wolves vying for his attention is making him very cranky.

His sister Dani insists a few days of rest and relaxation at the beach is exactly what he needs. Matt reluctantly agrees, if for no other reason than to get his sister and the rest of his pack off his back.

He never expected to find his mate. And he really didn’t expect her to be human, not when she’s so perfect in every other way.

Jessie Sablewolf is being forced into a mating she doesn’t want. In what’s to be her final rebellion, she escapes to the beach for a week of sun and fun. Fun that includes parasailing, jet skiing, body-surfing, and the no-strings hook-up of her dreams.

Thanks to an amulet bespelled by her magically powerful best friend, the insanely sexy Alpha wolf has no idea she’s a shifter. That’s good, because as her true mate, he could ruin everything.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

Reviewed by SparklesI knew I could count on wolf boy to get me what I needed! In Wolf Out of Water, we finally get Matt’s story and I loved it. As alpha of the pack, Matt is expected to find a mate who will ground him and complement him, and the pack is getting impatient with Matt’s reticence to just take a mate. Their constant nagging is getting on his nerves. Before he cracks under the pressure and eradicates half the pack, his sister Dani sends him on an all-expense paid vacation to the beach.

Jessie is in a week sabbatical from reality. The she-wolf is being forced/extorted to mate with her psycho alpha so she ran to the beach to enjoy the last week of her life. She even had her best friend make her a charm necklace masking her wolf so her pack couldn’t trace her.

When Jessie and Matt meet, sparks fly instantly. When Matt realizes Jessie is not only everything he ever wanted in a woman but his true mate nothing will stop him from claiming her, even if he believes her to be human. Well, nothing will stop him once he finds her again, as she left him without any clue about her real identity and whereabouts.

“And somewhere in there, he’d introduce the idea of going back to Mythic with him. Yeah, that would work. And if it didn’t, well, he was an Alpha. He’d bite her and take her back with him anyway.”

Matt was a drool worthy H: bossy, super-alpha, cocky and obsessively protective: totally dreamy. Jessie was no slack, she was a kick ass bitch, yet sweet and funny, and she knew just how to handle Matt. The fact that she would sacrifice herself for her family only made her a better heroine to me.

With action, a little suspense, really hot sex and funny banter, Wolf Out of Water is definitely my favorite of the Mythic series. I sincerely hope Ms. Zanders gets the chance to write more stories about its inhabitants, as there are lots of characters we’ve met that I’d love to know the stories of.
