In the mood for a possessive, bossy alpha male to turn you into a pile of goo with his sweet but rough side? Look no further, CP Smith has done it again.
In Wallflowers: Three of a kind we meet Cali, an incredibly introverted but lovely woman, whose tragic past has left her with a preference for isolation. You see, you can’t lose what you don’t have so she doesn’t really have anyone besides her two eccentric aunts.
When the most devilishly handsome hunk moves to the apartment next door, Cali decides she is finally ready to get out of her head and live life, not just read about it. With a newfound resolution, she befriends two girls from work who just happen to be her soul-sisters. Thus, the Wallflowers are born.
Devin is not even settled in his new house and business when a missing person case falls on his lap. That he can’t keep his next door neighbor out of his head is as unexpected as the mystery he now has on his hands.
Cali thinks Devin is too much man for her, Devin strongly disagrees. She was made for him and he won’t let anything get in the way of claiming his woman, not even her. Cali doesn’t need much coaxing, as she can’t deny what Devin makes her feel. When Devin’s case starts to unravel and things keep coming back to Cali, they’ll have their fledging relationship put to the test.
Devin was the typical CP Smith male: sexy, hot, protective and with a possessive streak a mile wide. I really enjoyed him and his hot bossiness. Cali starts off a bit too shy for my liking but her assertiveness grew as the story unfolded. She was funny, caring, a bit dorky and had a fine backbone, if a little hidden in the beginning.
With suspense, good twists, great side characters, and the usual hot sextivities Wallflowers: Three of a kind was an awesome read and I can’t wait to hear what’s next…so Ms. Smith, get cracking on the next one 😉
Rating: 4+ “Mine, mine, mine” Stars
