In Catch a Tiger by the Tail by Eve Langlais, Broderick has a job to do—audit the books of a gentleman’s club. Sounds simple, except his company wants him to find dirt linking to the mob, his secret mob employer wants someone to pin the blame on, and the bar manager at the heart of the controversy doesn’t want him—even though she’s his mate.
In Wild Passions by Kate Douglas, six women—friends closer than sisters—head off to an exclusive mountain resort for a week-long bachelorette getaway, where most of the women just wants to know if there are any good men left in the world. There are, and they’re the men of Feral Passions, a unique resort located on a private wolf preserve, owned and run by a pack of sexy werewolves who use it as their own personal hunting ground for mates.
In Her Perfect Mates by A.C. Arthur, Malec Zenta was part of a loving lycan family until his twin brother’s suicide took a piece of his soul. Channing Verdi never knew his parents, but that was fine because at the age of sixteen on the night of the full moon, he realized his purpose. The only pleasure these two betas have managed to find in their life was in the bed with the women they shared. Now, a human woman has entered their lives...a woman who sets their primal instincts on fire, a woman they can’t help but stake their claim on...and give her the ultimate pleasure of being with two shifters at once.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

By SpiceI’m not a huge anthology fan since I’m not a novella kind of girl and my experience with the anthologies I’ve read is they often have a lot of filler or incomplete books. Usually, I will only pick one up if it has a story by a favored author. Wild caught my attention as two out of the three authors were ones I had read before and enjoyed. Plus sometimes you just can’t beat a quick, hot shifter tale and I was pretty confident Wild would at least give me two. I was not disappointed. I was treated to two novellas that were quick but fun to read and introduced to what could be an intense and suspense filled shifter world if I ever get time to explore it. That’s a pretty good haul for one book.

Catch a Tiger by the Tail by Eve Langlais

The kick ass strip club manager who can take care of herself and the geeky accountant who was so much more had me laughing at the sniping between them with the sexy hot chemistry being an added bonus. Both had some huge secrets but no matter how shocking hers was, none of that matters when a tiger finds his mate.

Broderick was absolutely hilarious with his horrid sounding pickup lines that were corny but you could tell they came straight from his heart. Lulu had some serious danger swirling around her but couldn’t keep her mind off the annoying accountant that she could not shake. She was one bad ass girl who was frustrated at every turn by the pesky cat. There were a couple twists that were pretty funny in the end, and a mystery to solve that kept things moving along nicely.

Rating: 4 Cute and Steamy Stars

Wild Passions by Kate Douglas

Wild Passions had an almost fantasy island type vibe to it with the remote and exclusive mountain getaway for women ran by shit hot wolf shifter males looking for their perfect mate. Four lifelong friends have a bachelorette getaway. One is a bride to be with a low self-esteem who worries she’s not worth loving, another with a very special gift but who hasn’t found her place in the world, one who’s at a crossroads in her life and who needs to make decisions, and one who needs to heal from a bad relationship. They all find more than they bargain for, including tame wolves who have no problems hopping in bed with them, even if it’s just to cuddle.

The men were adorable and just wanted to find their perfect mates. Ones who wouldn’t mind mates who shed on the furniture and could turn furry, well, and turn them furry too. If you’re in for a quick and sweet paranormal read and don’t mind a little MMF action, this is a great choice.

3.5 You Can Find Friends In Surprising Places Stars

Her Perfect Mates by A.C. Arthur

Her Perfect Mates was a completely different read than I was expecting after the first two which threw me a bit. Instead of cute and sweet, it was dark, desperate, and at times kind of sad. The chemistry between Malek, Caroline and Channing was intense but so were the situations they found themselves in. No tacky flirting in sight, these people fought their feelings as hard as they could. With a lot of world building to do in a short bit of time, this one was a harder read and I had the feeling I was missing some things which was a bit of a disappointment. Nonetheless, it was a decent story that makes me want to explore their world, it was just maybe a bit out of place here.
