She created the game, but the rules are about to change.
Taurus: Hold fast to your single-minded nature today—no matter how long her legs or how lush her red lips.
Gemini: You were a shining star last night, but reality can be a real—well, you get the picture. Just remember: Tall, dark, and British equals no corner office for you.
Will Evans never wanted a reason to stay.
Holly Chandler wants nothing more than for him to go.
But neither one is prepared for what can happen in six months. Because it doesn't matter what you want when what you need walks out the door.
Holly’s been busting her butt to make partner at Trousseau and there’s no way she’s going to let some stuck-up British arsehole get in her way—no matter how drop-dead gorgeous he is. But that doesn’t mean she can’t have a little fun in the process. She has a six-month rule: date just long enough for the honeymoon phase to wear off, then walk away before anyone gets hurt. If they both know the rules up front, walking away will be a piece of cake. Or maybe not…
*SIX MONTH RULE is a stand alone book in a connected series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Holly has been a fashion show director for the last five years, always with the promise of the next one being what will make her a partner. When the opportunity finally arrives, it is in the hand of her first international client and a New Year’s Eve show. The catch? She needs to work with said client’s publicist and he is one hunky piece of well-dressed Brit… a yummy distraction!
William has a lot riding on this last assignment. If everything goes according to plan, he’ll finally get the year off so he can do what he was meant to be doing all the years his priorities were wrong. So when he finds the cheerful, upbeat and incredibly sexy director he’ll be working alongside, he decides the only way for it to work and not get sidetracked, is to be a complete arse.
Holly and Will enter into one of Holly’s signature Six Month relationships: all the fun of a new couple but with an expiration date before things get complicated. So far, this has worked wonderfully for Holly, and Will doesn’t really need one more complication in his life now that everything is almost working out for him. Unfortunately for both of them, these pesky things called feelings begin to appear, and suddenly everything is not as simple as it should be. Now not only are their hearts at risk, but they can’t let their relationship get in the middle of work, or both of them might lose more than they bargained for.
Six Month Rule was a light, quick read with some steam to it. There were some really sweet moments, especially regarding Will that put a goofy smile on my face. Although I enjoyed reading it, Holly’s unwillingness to reflect on her own feelings grew steadily tiresome. In the end, I didn’t feel she was worthy of Will, when her actions didn’t follow her own “rules” but she’d rather bury her head in the sand like an ostrich than inspect her own heart.
Will obviously had some issues to overcome, but I felt that, if a bit blown out of proportion by his perception of himself, they still were weighty matters. He was beyond charming, adorable and really sexy and I wouldn’t mind one bit having to work with him.
