Rochelle Marks is working hard to build a name for herself that has nothing to do with her pinup-girl curves. She’s made mistakes in the past, and now she’s trying to stop her little sister, Stacy, from making worse ones. Rochelle’s done with being nothing more than someone’s good time. Even if that someone is the one-night stand who turned her life upside down before vanishing—and who’s just arrived in Paradise, Idaho, looking to pick up where they left off.
Tech mogul Travis Cochran’s hard-won new priorities have brought him to town as a university lecturer, but he’s come for something else, too: the smart, sassy, gorgeous woman who’s been in his head for months. When Stacy’s choices draw her big sister into a web of down-home crime and cold-blooded murder, Travis’s mission gets a whole lot more urgent. Now convincing Rochelle to trust him isn’t just about winning her back. It may be the only way to keep her alive.…

I enjoyed Hold Me Close and Turn Me Loose was really great, too. Rochelle and Travis had one hot night of passion after they met in a bar. Unfortunately, Travis had to go back home the next day. Six months later he comes back to Paradise as a computer sciences lecturer to find the dean’s assistant is none other than the hot girl he couldn’t stop thinking about since that night.
Rochelle is more than livid when Travis walks willy-nilly back into her life after not calling her as he promised. She’s had some tough luck in the romance department. She is hot, enjoys sex and had a bit of a wild child reputation when she was a teenager. And no matter how hard she works or how guarded her heart, men seem to see her big boobs, blond hair, and sensual nature and jump to all the wrong conclusions. So to say Rochelle is less than receptive to Travis’ interest is putting it mildly.
Travis has had a really rough time as of late, professionally and personally, and had been making some changes in his life. He sees this encounter with Rochelle as a chance to really get to know her, but he’ll find some pretty high walls that only the most patient and dedicated man could hope of climbing.
I loved Rochelle, she was dedicated, tough, caring and pretty much kick ass…
“I looked him in the eye and said, ‘If you hit me, you’d better enjoy it, because it’ll be the last thing you do. You’ve got to sleep sometime’.”
There was that moment near the end where she made a decisively TSTL choice but I get that we needed to give Travis a reason to play the role of savior. He did it so well with all his country charm and sexy ruggedness that I can almost let it slide.
I really liked how Travis and Rochelle’s relationship developed. Their time together was really hot and the suspense in this installment was more than fine. Turn Me Loose was definitely a great addition to this series.
