When Calder Cox sees Felicity for the first time, he has to have her. There’s nothing that will hold him back…until he finds out she’s his lawyer’s daughter.
Felicity Chandler is graduating college soon but has no idea what she wants to do. While playing her violin one night, she sees Calder and feels instantly drawn to him. But when he tries to keep his distance, she doesn’t know what to do with all of her feelings.
Calder can’t be held off much longer, and when his control snaps, there are consequences. Felicity might be trying to run, but he’ll make sure she stays…even if he has to blackmail her to do it.
Warning: This is an Alexa Riley Promise, so it’s over the top, contains no cheating, and will always come with an HEA. It’s ridiculous baby-making drama that’s packed full of heat.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
These Promise books by Alexa Riley are the shit: sweet, sexy with timid but likable girls and completely OTT obsessed alpha males. Blackmailing the Virgin is perfect for when you need a mood boost or switch.
Felicity is a shy but beautiful young woman uncomfortable with crowds, which is how she caught the attention of a hunk while playing her violin out on one of her house balconies.
Calder is immediately taken by the beauty with the violin and can’t resist kissing her. They are interrupted by Felicity’s father, his company’s attorney and he decides to keep his distance. Which we all know is not going to work out so well for him.
As time goes by and Calder’s obsession with Felicity grows stronger he won’t be able to stay away. Which leads to things happening, which then leads to Calder being an ass, which will send Felicity running back to England where she is finishing up college.
Now Calder will have to get creative to convince Felicity to come back to him… so what if he has to resort to blackmail? Felicity is his and nothing will stand in his way… not even Felicity herself.
As usual, Calder was hot, bossy, alpha and completely and utterly OTT obsessed with Felicity… in a good way.
“You’re going to marry me. Today.”
Felicity was more of a subdued heroine, but she had some backbone too. Felicity’s feelings for Calder were pretty much as intense, she just didn’t really know what to do with them. She was also a tad insecure but given the age and general experience differences between them it’s understandable. I liked them both and loved them together. Their relationship moves at warp speed, but that’s not really surprising… actually it’s more like expected.
I really enjoyed this Alexa Riley Promise. Blackmailing the Virgin was just what I needed and it was great fun to read. This one is going straight to my Favorite OTT Craziness shelf.
