Contradictions...
Tall and short.
Inked and unmarked.
Golden and porcelain.
Soft dreads and wild red.
Dark and… darker.
Keeping more secrets than a teenage girl's diary, Harlow Cooper hides a lot behind her bubbly personality. College student and intern. Loyal friend and loving daughter. Fangirl and girly girl. Lover of strong coffee and even stronger margaritas. Former bartender and current… Well, let’s just say she’s suddenly in need of pasties and an industrial sized drum of glitter.
Quick with a smile and joke, people assume Kase Teo is all ego with a slacker follow-through. But lurking behind his hauntingly beautiful blue eyes is an ocean. Knowledge, quick wit, experience, pain… There are depths to Kase that most don’t see. If there’s one thing he’s learned, it’s that life’s all about appreciating the beauty.
For Kase, that means going after the redhead that’s set up residence in his mind. And his fantasies.
Now he needs her to see life’s more than just a best case scenario.
***Warning: This book is intended for adults. It contains frequent adult language and situations.
Though it can be read as a standalone, it is STRONGLY recommended you read Hyde and Seek first.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Let’s start this with me saying, when I read Kase’s description followed by half-Hawaiian I couldn’t help but to keep picturing Jason Momoa as a mechanic. Just for that Ms. Frost… my eternal gratitude you have. (And I see Spice did the same without as mentioning it… well it’s like they say: “Great minds perv alike.”
Best Kase Scenario is more in the slow pace category, with a steady and lazy build up till the ending. Though I don’t actually mind relationship driven books, after having recently re-read Hyde and Seek this type of story wasn’t what I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I didn’t enjoy it, it was just different from what I thought the story would be.
Kase was really one of my favorite H’s so far. He is alpha, possessive and bossy in a very understated way, you’d almost think he is a laid back guy… but you’d be wrong.
Harlow… *sigh* Harlow. I liked her: I liked her personality, her determination, her complete devotion to those she loves. What bugged me a lot about her was the reason behind her side job. Ok, this might be a little bit spoilery so I’ll tag it and you come back after you read the book View Spoiler »
As I mentioned the book is mainly about Kase trying to get Harlow to overcome her flight propensity. I think he is one of the most patient guys I’ve ever read about and I loved the couple they made.
While we get some clues as to where the trouble is going to come from it still took me somewhat by surprise, though the suspense did not start till near the end of the story.
I enjoyed reading Best Kase Scenario very much, it keeps the same kind of feeling of quirkiness, laugh out loud dialogue and inner musings than the previous book and I’m very excited about getting the other guys at Hyde’s stories as well as Lars and Nox’s now… the hot guys just keep coming!
