Caleb Johnson, 'King of the Rodeo,' is on his way to becoming Wyoming's National Champion. Until an ornery bull sidelines him with a potentially career-ending injury. Returning home to recuperate puts him in the path of Rosemary Carmichael, the girl he deserted to become a rodeo star.
Now he's got to figure out what he really wants: returning to the rodeo circuit and going for that big, National prize, or convincing the woman he loves that he wants a life with her . . . and the son he never knew he had.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Rodeo King is easy, quick novella that’s perfect for someone who wants a no-angst read.
You will like this book:
If you’re looking for a quickie
If you prefer low angst
If you love a promised HEA
You might want to skip if:
You require character development
If you’re looking for a fully-fleshed out story
If you’re okay with easy and convenient
This is a well-written captivating story. At 108 pages, the authors wrote just enough. But with the talent they have, I’m wondering why they didn’t take this story – what has become the beginning of a series – and write an actual book. A complete story line with character development, conflict, and conflict resolution are all well within reach. It’s right there!
Lastly, I must mention the price. Industry standard for eBooks is a penny per page. The likes of Kristen Ashley and Jill Shalvis hold to this guide. At $2.99 – or triple that standard – these authors are setting themselves in the gross sales and success that JK Rowling, EL James and JR Ward command.
