She's the woman he loves to hate.

Penn Foster wants a lot of things. She wants a spot on the board of a charitable foundation. She wants to win the stupid, plastic family trophy. And more than anything, she wants her tall, hot, and brooding boss naked in her bed. Now, on a Hawaiian vacation with her family, she's desperately trying not to think about how he'd sound whispering dirty things in her ear.

He's the man she can't have...or can she?

Cole Murphy keeps himself locked down, away from the press and out of the spotlight. Still haunted by a traumatic childhood, his ability to trust has been decimated. Penn, with her sexy body and confidence, is the only person able to drag him out of his shell. Which is why he crashes her vacation and accepts her proposition for no-strings sex. But is the inescapable heat building between them a delicious temptation, or will it end in total disaster?

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

By SparklesThis book was entertaining and hot… Yep, that’s it.

I didn’t care particularly for the h, Penn, mainly because she was a doormat with her family. She is supposed to be this brassy and strong woman, but fearing her family wouldn’t accept her new “self” whenever she was in their presence she came off as meek and well… weak and a little sad.

Cole, our H, is somewhat of Penn’s co-worker/boss as she works at his late foster mother’s organization/company.

They have a love-hate-annoy-the-hell-and-push-each-other’s-buttons relationship. So when he flies to Hawaii where she is vacationing with her family to help her win a ridiculous family tournament prize, all bets are off and their professional lines get erased.

I’ll be honest, Penn’s change of attitude with or without her family was whip-lash inducing and got on my last nerve pretty quick.

Cole had his own issues that came from a very rough childhood, so I could cut him some slack and I was able to get where he was coming from.

Their chemistry was really off the charts crazy hot, and they made a good couple, balancing each other and their personalities. Sadly Penn’s lack of a backbone doused some of my enjoyment of the story.

Still, I had a good time reading Recipe for Temptation, and I wouldn’t mind keeping up with this author.
