He'll give her everything...except his true identity.
After catching her fiancé cheating on their wedding day, interior designer Kylie Edwards swore off high-powered men. But before she can drown herself in wedding cake, she's dragged to a Vegas romance conference by her friends. At least she'll be able to meet the hotel's owner and pitch her new design idea. And maybe attend the elaborate masquerade ball, where business unexpectedly becomes pleasure with the hotel's oh-so-hot head of security.
Jake Royale's no security guy-he owns the hotel and casino. The masquerade ball gives him the perfect opportunity to drop his high-profile identity and blend in. To be seen as a man, not his money. But when one hot night with Kylie becomes more, Jake knows he's screwed. Not only will his fake identity cost him the design that will catapult his casino back to the top, it might just cost him the one thing money can't buy...

ATTACK OF THE DECEIVING BLURB!!
Once again I have been deceived, tricked and… Ok Ok, I tricked myself into reading this one because the blurb sounded so good… *insert heavy sigh*
I just couldn’t connect with the h. Ky finds out on the limo ride to her wedding that her fiancée slept with her best friend/maid of honor. Because he is a millionaire CEO, just like her daddy who never showed her love or caring, then all CEOs must be power-hungry, unfeeling, uncaring, only interested in money asshats. What’s that saying about putting things in the same bag?
Now her two real friends drag her to a weekend in Vegas for a writer’s convention. It so happens that Ky’s father’s design firm, where she works, is presenting a bid for the hotel/casino renovation where the convention is being held.
There she meets “Macon” the security guy, who’s actually Jake Royale owner and CEO of the casino, and sparks fly.
But when Jake overhears Ky tell her ex (who appeared out of nowhere, mind you) that she won’t ever get involved with a CEO, he delays telling her about his real identity until they get to know each other better. He is secretly pleased that Ky likes him for him, and not because of what he has (apparently what the last few women he was involved with wanted).
Well, the rest goes as expected They have the most incredible sex of their lives, feelings deeper than anyone could expect flourish. Throw in some kinky sex just because, and then some angst when the terrible and disturbing secret that he is actually a millionaire CEO (the shame!! the horror!!! How dare he!!!) comes out.
Jake was actually a good H. He might have kept Ky’s mistaken idea of his identity (he never really lied to her, just didn’t correct her assumption) but he had understandable reasons of why he did it. But I liked him and didn’t think Ky deserved him because she was so narrow minded and judgmental.
Well, as I always say, reading is a very subjective thing, and this is my opinion based on my feelings at the moment, my previous read (where there also was a shit friend) and the fact that I wanted chocolate cake for dessert but there was none to be had. So what I’m saying is, this is just my opinion and it doesn’t mean this book won’t work for everybody else, it just didn’t work for me.
