All I've ever been good at is fighting and f*cking.
Pure violence and wet sex. For years, it's been my life. If you think I'd get bored, you'd be very wrong. I'll never get enough.
Nothing can sate the ache that wants to bend any and every woman over, just to see how she tastes. I'm a man who aims to please, but no one holds my attention.
No one but Zoe.
I throb at the very IDEA of her... I want to suffocate with my tongue inside her thighs.
When my phone rang, I didn't expect her pretty voice to beg me for help.
She thought I'd save her and that'd be it. Well.
Too bad.
I'm hooked on this girl—I want her more than water or air.
I wasn't her first.
But I planned to be her last.

Gritty, dirty and a wee bit messy…

Wow, this book was way out of my comfort zone. I’m the sort of reader that likes her romance to follow a certain pattern and Last of the Bad Boys took that pattern and told it to bugger off. The main characters are Zoe and Huxton AKA Huck. Zoe and Huck meet when a mutual friend Eliza, organises Huck to be the stripper for Zoe’s birthday. Zoe is at a place in her life where everything is going against her. Huck (guess what he likes to do) is cruising along with a big old smile on his face. He’s happy with what life has thrown him, it’s not perfect but for him, it just works.

I don’t want to give away too much but I will say that Zoe has got herself into a wee bit of trouble. The only way she sees to get out of it is to hire Huck to use his body, which his business card claims is for hire.  He fights for her to pay off a debt.

I actually stalled at the 50% mark. I had to step away and take a breather. I was not happy with the way Zoe used Huck. I was not happy with Huck hiding from Zoe what his job really entails. I was not happy seeing the dark side of life which includes illegal fighting and loan sharks who expect payment in one of two ways, both involve bodies being used. I got back into reading and found that a few things were resolved and fixed. There were explanations and rationale around the reactions to certain situations which are explained.  Seriously this is not a hearts and flowers type of read but in its own way, their love for each other is shown.

I stepped out of my comfort zone with this book and took a walk down the alley…and read about two people getting it on IN PUBLIC. There were some very sexy scenes. The fight scenes were described but at no times were they too graphic.

Thank you, Nora Flite for gifting me this copy of Last of the Bad Boys to read and review.
