I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Although it is #0.5 I believe this novella is set after the first installment of the series. But even when I haven’t read that one (yet) I could follow the story with no problems. This is my first book ever where the H is a tiny, sparkly fairy. But boy did the author make it work for me.
Raea and Kyne can’t help but give in to the passion they feel for each other despite the fact that it will cause them dire consequences. So of course, they find themselves with no other choice but to escape from their home in the Forbidden Realm to keep Kyne safe. But soon they’ll find that what they thought was a refuge might be the most dangerous place for them yet.
Filled with intrigue and way hot sexy scenes, this was a delightful read and I’m going to make the time to read the first 2 main books to the series. My only complaint would be that the story ended rather abruptly, but this could be more about the fact that my kindle said I still had about a quarter of the book to read when in actuality it had a sneak-peek into book #3.
I think the readers of the series will find it much more enjoyable because they are already acquainted with the characters. That said, it didn’t take away any of my enjoyment with this being my first encounter with The Forbidden Realm series.
